Obama Expels 35 Russian Diplomats

On December 28th of 2016, President Barack Obama made the decision to expel 35 Russian Diplomats from the USA, giving them just 72 hours to gather their loved ones, along with their belongings, before throwing them onto a one way trip back to Moscow, Russia.

The Russian Diplomats departed from US soil on New Year’s Day, and arrived back in Moscow, Russia on January 2nd.

According to BBC News, Mr. Obama ordered the expulsion in response to alleged hacking of the US Democratic Party and Clinton campaign during the 2016 presidential election.

The administration will soon “be providing a report to Congress in the coming days about Russia’s efforts to interfere in our election, as well as malicious cyber activity related to our election cycle in previous elections,” Obama said.

According to BBC News, Putin will not expel US diplomats from Russia in retaliation.Though angry about the US decision, Putin said that he will not snoop to “irresponsible diplomacy.”

But, the Russian embassy in the UK tweeted a visual gag calling the Obama presidency a lame duck… That’s just a little funny, if I must be honest.

According to USA Today, Putin also said “We will not create problems for U.S. diplomats,” Putin said in a statement. “We will not expel anybody.”

Though President-elect, Donald Trump, suggested that computers could not be trusted with sensitive information, and recommended using pen and paper, he did also state that the Democrats are pushing the Russian hack story as part of an effort to explain away the loss by Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

Russian President, Putin is waiting until the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump to restore wounded U.S.-Russia relations. Which I personally respect, due to the fact that I personally feel that such party representatives, such as Obama & Clinton, want to go to war with Russia, where as Trump is more interested in cooling situations down to prevent a third world war.

I cannot believe I’m saying this, but GO TRUMP GO! If he’s for saving the millions of lives of others, well, that’s ok by me.

Here is a short video, credited to USA Today, regarding the situation.

What are your thoughts on the situation? Too Drastic? Or actions well deserved?
