My Big Birthday 🎁

My birthday was yesterday! Woo-hoo! The big 26, y’all. My party went down on Saturday, which lasted around 11 hours. Yeah, I go hard.

We had over 30 people at our place, and tons of food. We catered some krispy krunchy chicken, as well as bootleg barbecue. Some good eats! I called this one my potluck party, so my friends brought a lot of side dishes and desserts.

I spent most of last week throwing it back on instagram, reminiscing about my life experiences. It’s hard to believe that I’m four years away from thirty, yet I feel like I literally just graduated high school.

It was a stressful start. I was up late Friday night, hanging with my boss at work until midnight, then I was woken up at 6 am by my mom who needed to go to th the hospital due to some chest problems. So here I am, running on 5 hours of sleep, rushing my mom to the hospital to make sure she’s good, rushing back home to get my dad to work, then sitting at home alone, trying to decorate our house while literally crying a river due to an emotional breakdown. Like it was crazy y’all, and kind of funny, looking back, it’s like it was my midlife crisis. πŸ˜‚

I continued to tell myself was “it’s my birthday, I can cry if I want to.”

We were scared that my mom wasn’t going to be able to return home, but she made it just in time, and three of my lovely & very caring friends came over early to help me finish the set up.

26 is off to a messy start, y’all. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ but i had a fabulous time, being surrounded by my family and friends.

This was my birthday cake, which was hidden from the world because everyone knows cookie cakes aren’t huge and I wasn’t about to share! πŸ˜‚

But we also had another cake for my baby cousins that share the birthday month with me, so everyone got cake. We also had some vegan carrot cake cupcakes, wine cake, no bake cheesecake, cookies- all were homemade and delicious.

I was dead ass tired but you better believe that didn’t stop me from twerking into the next stage of my life!
